Hello. Byte Bridges is a software company in Milton Keynes, and today the site you are reading is live on its new home. This is the first post, so it does the simple job of saying who we are and what you can expect.

What we do

We build websites and software for small and medium-sized businesses and startups, mostly across London and the South East, and we look after them once they are live. A website that brings in enquiries. A tool that replaces the spreadsheet everyone is afraid to touch. A half-finished build another supplier walked away from. If it runs in a browser or on a server, it is the kind of work we do.

The mission

Build software that works. Ship it on time. Price it honestly.

That is the whole of it. No talk of digital transformation or disrupting industries. Solid software, delivered well, at a price you knew before we started.

How we work

Four principles sit behind every project.

• Code that lasts. Clean, tested, documented work you can maintain and build on, with no dependency on us to keep it running.
• The cost up front. You know the price before we start. No hidden fees, no surprise invoices, no scope creep passed on to you.
• One conversation. Byte Bridges is founder-led. The person you speak to writes the code. No account managers and no middlemen.
• Modern tools, proven ones. React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, with AI used to work faster and check our own work, never to replace the judgement you are paying for.

What we promise

These are the facts every page of this site agrees on, and a test fails if any page says otherwise.

• We reply within 24 hours on working days.
• We work Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 UK, excluding bank holidays.
• Websites start at £500, with a fixed quote before any work begins.
• Care Plans cost £99, £249 or £499 a month.
• Work beyond a Care Plan costs £95 an hour, agreed before it starts.
• Every launch includes 30 days of bug fixes.
• We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
• Support is by email for now.

What happens next

This blog will carry what we are building, fixing and learning, in plain words. Expect a post when there is something worth saying, not on a schedule.
